Upon the launch of the programme in the year 2018, the MTN Foundation ICT and Business Skill Training initiative has supported up to 4,000 business owners across 16 states in Nigeria.

The 6th phase taking place this year 2025 increased the number of their beneficiary to 3,000 youths, aiming at states like Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi,Niger, and Yobe states

With the support of the big tech companies like  Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, KPMG, IBM, and others, their five-week programs includes

1.     Artificial Intelligence for small business growth

2.     Digital marketing strategy

3.     Online brand development

4.     Building profitable tech-driven enterprises

The resource persons will bring in the real industry knowledge, making the learning curriculum to be different from ordinary theoretical learning.

This stage of learning shows the practical skills that will help the Nigerian youths to survive, a skill that cannot be acquired from a normal classroom teaching

A.   Age: 18-35 years old

B.   Nationality: Nigerian citizen

C.   Business: Must own and operate  any small business that has been in existence for a period of 2 years

D.   Location:  Your Business resides within any of these locations: Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, or Yobe State

How to Apply 2025 MTN Foundation 6th Phase of ICT and Business Skills Training 2025

Get all your documents ready. Below are the documents you will need to make available

 I.          Your Business location or address status( business name registration if available, utility bill)

 II.          Clear details about your business: business registration date, type of business, state, and any form or recognized ID, which may be ( NIN, Voters Card, or International Passport.

III.            Business address

Complete the online form as it was instructed      

Carefully fill every section of the form, clearly scan and upload all the necessary documents.

Write a comprehensive business summary, and explain how digital skills will be beneficial to the growth of your business

Successful applicants should look out for the intensive 5-week virtual online experience. The grant closing date is December , which will help to give the participants a long period of time to complete their projects and apply for the N90,000,000 grants for the top 300 performers

What You Should Expect After Submission

·        Review and Selection: The foundation team will evaluate all the applications one after the other to know those that are qualified, along with business fit  

·        Shortlisting: Once you make it to the shortlisting stage, they will reach out to you through the email you created earlier, which is why I advised earlier that you should register with a valid email address,so that you will not miss any information

·        Training Start Date: If you are able to participate in the training, you will receive sets of instructions for joining the virtual training and accessing the masterclass sessions.

·         Participation Requirements:  Having been accepted to be part of the program, there are things that you need to do for you to be successful in the training. One of them is to  be active during the programme, complete your assignment, also attend live classes to qualify for the equipment grant.
